The Story

After 26 hours of labor, Kyle Christopher Harker was born on February 3rd, 2008 at 2:03 am via C-Section. He weighted 8 lbs 7 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. He spent his first 3 days in NICU with pneumonia and on antibiotics but he is now a very healthy, growing boy! He is certainly the light of my life and I can't tell you how incredibly lucky I feel to be so blessed with such a wonderful gift.

Kyle is walking!

Kyle has started walking! At 10 months and 11 days...... I am thinking this is TO early! He had been taking a few steps over the past few weeks, but this Sunday he just up and took off. He is SO proud of himself! He is loving his new found freedom that is getting him places even faster! Another milestone that is reminding me just how fast my lil baby is growing up

A special gift

Kyle received a snowglobe from Great Grandma and Papa Phillips. It has music, the fireplace lights up and it snows! Kyle loves it! If I have it on the floor, he knows how to tip it over and then back up so that the snow will move around. He dances to the music too!
Thank you Great Gma and Papa for the letter that you wrote to go with it!!
Kyle will always think of you while playing with this!

Piano Santa

I have a hallmark Santa that plays song while playing the piano. Kyle has become a huge fan! As you can see in the video he wants to beat the poo out of Santa so he can play the piano himself!

The Christmas Tree

Kyle finally showed interest in the Christmas tree at Grandma and Grandpas. Before, he had just looked and pointed at it! Notice him standing all by himself??????

The fountain

Saturday we went to a play that our friend Jillian was in and while we were waiting for Grandma, Grandpa, Keri and Charlie.......
I decided to let Kyle play in the fountain
He thought he had hit the jackpot because he was getting a little wet

I just let him get.......

Standing.......

Kyle turned 10 months yesterday.... and waalaa! He is standing alone! After a few times of being a bit shaky.... he started to be quite proud of himself and just started doing it. I tried to video him with my digital camera but as you can see by the pictures with the camera in HIS hands.... he won that battle!

Growing up to fast!

WOW! Look how big he is! I wanted to compare so I laid him next to his newborn pajamas...... my baby is getting so big!

Our Santa Experience

Well, we tried to see what Kyle thought of Santa Claus......as you can see...... he started out by staring at him, giving Mommy a look of desperation and then a cry for help! Maybe next year

10 Months

Uncle Eric got a very nice camera and so we decided to have him take Kyles 10 Month pictures. He did an AMAZING job! Here are a few ;)

Christmas tree lights

Kyle was kindly helping Uncle Eric hang the lights on Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas tree

A funny moment

Kyle has figured out the my phone is a camera. He loves to have me take a picture of him, he actually poses, and then he turns my phone around and laughs and smiles at his picture. What a ham!

My new slippers

Kyle got new ELMO slippers today! They are a bit big but the way he is growing, he will be into them in no time. He LOVES them! He kept hugging elmo and laughing at them. He is SO much fun!

All bundled up!

Is this the movie of "The Christmas Story"? Kyle is all bundled up to go out in this nasty Pacific Northwest rain. He was acting like I had put him in a straight jacket though!

Trying to break the barricade!

In the morning, while I am trying to get ready for work, I try and create a barricade so that Kyle can't come in the bathroom and get into all of the drawers, the garbage, etc....... but this morning he figured out a way to BREAK the barricade! He truly thought he was SO clever!

Too Big!

Well, I guess it is time to admit that Kyle has outgrown the port-a-swing ;(
He still loves to sit in it but he is to heavy for it to actually swing so he kicks is feet and swings his legs trying to get it to move

A busy day

A busy day in the life of Kyle Christopher! First we start with playing in and emptying most of the drawers and shelves at home. Then to the office where Kyle works hard on Grandpa's computer and walks (well, runs) around the office with his push toy.

Watch out Mozart!

Kyle LOVES to play, well pound, on Uncle Eric's piano. He would sit there for hours if I could have the patience to sit there that long ;)

Andrew and Marins Special Guest day

Kyle and I got to go spend a few hours with Andrew and Marin at their school. We visited the classrooms and then got to watch them sing songs in the gym.

Halloween night

We went to the Firstenburg Community Center for Halloween night with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Keri. Kyle got his face (well, just his nose) painted, he bowled for candy and watched all of the other kids run around in their costumes. Then we went to Red Robin for dinner and back home to trick or treat. He made it about 9 homes before crashing out on Grandma Marilyns shoulder. Kyle had a GREAT first Halloween!

Its Halloween picture time~

Kyle is a COW for halloween! Our friend Lisa let us borrow it. This was her sons costume.... and Kenny is now 16!

9 months old!

Kyle is 9 months old! Where has the time gone????
He was so fun at the studio.... little did I know that in the next few hours he would have a very high temperature and be throwing up ;(

Trick o treat at the Zoo

We all went to the Portland zoo for the Howl-o-ween party. We did a scavanger hunt and got to see all of the animals. Some of the animals even had pumpkins for a treat! Kyle was VERY scared of Andrews SCREAM costume! Kyle was all tuckered out by the end
