The Story

After 26 hours of labor, Kyle Christopher Harker was born on February 3rd, 2008 at 2:03 am via C-Section. He weighted 8 lbs 7 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. He spent his first 3 days in NICU with pneumonia and on antibiotics but he is now a very healthy, growing boy! He is certainly the light of my life and I can't tell you how incredibly lucky I feel to be so blessed with such a wonderful gift.

Lil Stinker!

Kyle successfully picked the very last, UNRIPENED tomato today! I have tried so hard to get him to understand that he needs to wait until they turn red but he just doesn't seem to have the patience to wait...... so...... the tomato season is now over for us
Just gotta love him though

Kyle's first airplane ride

Kyle and I flew to Idaho Falls, Idaho for our Phillips family reunion
He loved it! Well, other than the first thing he did when we got settled in our seat was to touch the light above us and burn his little pointer finger ;(
He was the center of attention!!!

At the park with my Cousins

We got to spend the day at the park with cousins Marin, Andrew and Felipe

and of course a little hugging from Mommy!

Kyles favorite thing to do is to climb UP the slide!

and then go down on someones lap

Kyle is always a step ahead of me

Blackberry picking

Right down on the Salmon Creek Trail next to Grandma and Grandpas house are massive blackberry bushes. Kyles loves to copy Grandpas every move

I guess his lil legs get tired after awhile

I think this lil boy ends up with more berries on his face and in his tummy than in his bucket

We are glad to be at the end of our trek
Kyle and I often just walk and talk in the midst of our project

Kyle, deep in thought
Kyle loves our berry picking adventures and especially the treats we make from them

Jameson Park

After dinner at Cha Cha Cha the other night, we walked over to Jameson Park in the Pearl District. There is a water area that comes and goes and Kyle was simply in heaven!
He fell at one point and got completely soaked!
He's all boy!

The many PASTA faces of Kyle Christopher Harker

Uncle Eric took a few pics while Kyle ate (and played) in his pasta dinner last night!
Pretty dang cute

How cute is this????

At a BBQ we went too, Kyle found a friend! At first these two fought constantly over who got to sit in the power wheels car. The other kid usually won because he pushes!
Eventually, our friend Erik showed them that they could BOTH sit in the car
WHEW!

Anyone want a kiss???????

Now this is proof that my lil boy sure enjoys his suckers!

The Fourth of July

We had a big family bbq and fireworks fun on the fourth of July
All of the kids swam and played in the sun
Align Left

Grandpa took a turn holding Kyle while the other adults lit fireworks. Kyle didn't seem to mind any of the loud BOOMS and he LOVED the fireworks show!

I carefully lit a sparkler and held it for Kyle

By the end of the evening, Kyle was one tired little boy! While I was putting him to bed he could still hear the fireworks outside. He looked up at me, smiled and said "BOOM"!

What a ham!

We went to a birthday BBQ last night....... my friend Shawn had her camera out and Kyle was his typical camera HAM!
No, these aren't marks on his face...... it is AVOCADO!
Gosh, I just think he is the cutest!

An evening at Edgefield

We went to Edgefield the other evening with Aunt Keri. This is one of Mommys favorite places to go!This is in front of a water tower, a spot Kyle loves to climb on and jump off of. He had just found a friend that was his size!
There are so many paths and open spaces that he just LOVES to explore

and he EVEN wanted to play golf!

DOGS!

I have started helping out a family friend a few days a week

and she has 3 dogs!
Kyle has really taken to them, although I am VERY allergic!

Pretty darn cute!
