The Story

After 26 hours of labor, Kyle Christopher Harker was born on February 3rd, 2008 at 2:03 am via C-Section. He weighted 8 lbs 7 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. He spent his first 3 days in NICU with pneumonia and on antibiotics but he is now a very healthy, growing boy! He is certainly the light of my life and I can't tell you how incredibly lucky I feel to be so blessed with such a wonderful gift.

Problem solved..... update to the allergic reaction

Well, I figured out the problem, or should I say the cause of Kyle's allergic reaction
I bought this SOY cheese out of the non-dairy section at Fred Meyer. Reading the label it OBVIOUSLY is called SOY and it says "alternative" on the front too, so who would have thought that some idiot manufacturer of a SOY product would put milk in this SOY cheese???
I am thankful he only ate two small dime-size pieces of it or this could have been so much worse! I have been a very careful label reader but this one got me!

Can you say "ALLERGIC REACTION"?

Well, today just after lunch Kyle decided to react to something.....
not quite sure what it could be since he had nothing different or new to eat.
He has an allergy to milk but I am certain he had NOTHING with dairy in it
These pictures are taken at the Doctors office with my phone so they aren't very good but you can see that both of his eyes are quite swollen

So, a dose of benedryl later we are headed home for a long winters nap

AH..... finally a partial smile

The easter hat

On Saturday, while I met up with some friends from school, Aunt Keri and her fiance Charlie watched Kyle for me.
She took him to Target and although I shouldn't have been surprised, this is the picture she sent to my phone letting me know he was doing great!
Looks like he was having a fun time but....... Maybe she needs to be reminded that he is a BOY!

Kyle's first Merry-go-round ride

Our mall put in a merry-go-round and since Kyle had been so patient while Mommy and Aunt Keri shopped we decided to see how he would do on the horse

At first he was a bit scared but by the third spin around he was loving it!

He was laughing each time we went around and Aunt Keri was there

As I expected, he put up a good fight about getting off of the merry-go-round but I can only stay dizzy so long
